Wujal Wujal is a small Aboriginal community on the north and south sides of the Bloomfield River. Located in a World Heritage site abundant with sacred waterfalls in the Bloomfield Valley, Wujal Wujal means ‘many falls’ in our local language.
Wujal Wujal is 170km north of Cairns and 70km south of Cooktown. The small community has a population of 282 people (2016 census). 91.5% of the population identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
