Paul Stephenson first joined the Apunipima Senior Management Team in 2012 as the Executive Manager, Primary Health Care, a position he held for three years, prior to taking on the role as General Manager for Australian Regional and Remote Community Services in the Northern Territory.
Paul has a background and qualifications in Nursing and Health Service Management with a history in Indigenous and remote health service development in FNQ. Prior to working for Apunipima, Paul was an ex-officio Apunipima Board Member while employed as the Cape York Health Service CEO and then the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area Health Service District CEO.
Paul has an extensive executive leadership and management record within remote primary health care as well as health systems governance through various Board appointments over the last 12 years.
