Senior Medical Officer
Dr. Louise Craig is a frontline Senior Medical Officer with Apunipima Cape York Health Council and holds the Clinical Services portfolio. Dr. Louise divides her time between service delivery, training and recruiting Medical Officers. She is the professional lead to Apunipima’s Medical Officers.
Prior to joining Apunipima in 2010, Dr. Louise worked in retrieval services with Royal Flying Doctors Service. Originating from Manchester UK, this role provided her with a unique understanding of the challenges and remote beauty of Cape York and its communities.
One of Dr. Louise’s values is to provide equity and access to services believing that everybody is entitled to access to quality health care.
Dr. Louise is responsible for providing clinical leadership to ensure sustainable comprehensive primary health care that is evidence based and clinically safe.
